Talking Tablet PCs from the Red Couch

by on November 10, 2005

Last night Marc Orchant and James Kendrick called me up on Skype while I sat on my red couch and drank a glass of Merlot. Always a dangerous combination, but I behaved myself — mostly. We talk about Tablet PCs, Slingbox, Intel’s museum, having blogging wives, and more.

By the way, I learned about Craig Pringle’s BlogPad, which is a blogging tool that lets you use the inking capability of a Tablet PC with blog services that support the Metaweblog API. That’s really cool and won high praise from Marc and James in the show we did last night.

  • It was great fun Robert. Thanks for visiting with us.
  • Marc: try and convince Robert to go to CES, I know I will do my part.
  • Christopher Coulter
Wow, same cast of characters, same tired old script, same lame old hack-ups, same tired unheeded complaints, same droll MFST Execs, same dull sites and blogs (minus old Peter and HPClean). Someone needs to breathe new life into the Tablet PC scene. I left eons ago, and I could waltz back in 6 months from now and find nothing has changed.

And if Microsoft has been media tracking, start the decline from the day I checked out, that be no idle boast. Tho the 'Start Something Amazing Awards' kicked some dust. Another thing lost in the DeadbutpretendingtobeLive.com and Memo's leak.
  • Christopher: since you've left there are now three different Tablet PCs being displayed at the Best Buys I visit (and quite nicely, I might add).

Life? Life is driven by new product. Talk to you soon!
