Weird, can't post links?

Welcome to the Inkernet. That's thanks to Loren Heiny (that's his blog) and Telligent's Community Server (a free content management system that drives lots of blogs) -- Telligent is adding inking capabilities to Community Server. TDavid is trying his hand at it too.

interesting. just one problem. see the rss feed for this item... the content is empty. is that because it was ink or coincidence?

Wow that is neat ;)

Wow, it only took 3 years, yet another soon to be abandoned Ink blog bit...a remake of that downright piss poor InkBlog Arin Goldberg did for Comdex. Always forever Julia Lerman and Larry O'Brien articles and projects but never anything that actually amounts to anything workable. Forever developer dog and pony tricks, geesh. The lack of a real mainstream easy to use, easy to plug-in Tablet PC blog app, is quite telling. You know it's a dead scene when the biggest news is the plush stupid trinkety Tablet Guy toy that people are coveting like gold. Heck to really market, give it away like candy.

Yawn.

And what 2 weeks without a tabletpcbuzz.com update? Wotcha get when that snot-nosed kiddo (future MFST employee, no doubt) drives away all good help.

Bashing on Tablet Guy? Dem be fighting words, Christopher. And what would you do with an ink blogging tool? You can't even blog with the variety of ones that exist now.

A little plush toy is what becomes fighting words, that's what rises your ire? Ok, whatever, hereby proving my point, dead scene. And I don't blog. Just calling the scene as I see it.

Now to seriously address the points about the state of ink blogging apps, I would be one of the first to agree that the Telligent system (and every other one I've seen) still needs work, but this is a step in a positive direction. The Telligent system currently crops ink on the right when you edit a post category which is a bummer :(

I think it was Andy Gray that said he was working on something in the ink blogging department but not sure where or how far he got on that.

There was another guy mentioned recently that was trying to fuse an ink blogging tool together.

We're also seeing tablets reappear in more stores again, so this is far from a "dead scene." Guess some people are glass half empty about everything. Probably the same people who thought Google wasn't worth $100/share. Now it's worth four times that.

Christopher, I do understand that stalking a well known blogger is probably the only way your ever going to get the attention you so desperatly crave, but could you at least stop repeating the same old childish BS in every post you make? it get's very boring.

whats the difference in this method, than just saving as gif or jpeg and uploading?

James, the user experience is based on the ability to ink within the browser. 10 years ago, getting a text post into a dynamic website through the browser was key to a successful site. This was because the person running the site could travel anywhere, get access to the internet and post. Eventually uploading images within the post because important. Now, the user experience must be increased by allowing the blogger AND all visitors to be able to express themselves in as many creative means as possible. Images are great - but how many visitors to a blog can create a visual response by uploading an image? On Tablet PC Blogs, people can ink a response within the forums and eventually we'll try to get them to be able to respond within the comments in this same manner.
