#66: Wikipedia hacks

by on November 19, 2005

Steve Rubel continues his “10 hacks” lists with “10 Wikipedia Hacks.” Steve, I LOVE these lists. Keep doing them.

Have you never been to Wikipedia? I use that more and more lately to learn about things I don’t know about. It’s getting more and more authoritative over time. Yeah, I know there are naysayers out there, but overall it’s a resource I love and use a lot.

  • Ha! OK, I will. How about 10 Scoble hacks? Don't worry I got more up my sleeve!
  • Since Chris Coulter hasn't seen this yet, I went ahead and did a "six degrees of wikipedia" search for Robert Scoble and Shill. Robert, you'll be happy to know you are separated by four degrees ;)
  • Wikipedia is practically the homepage on many students computers here at UNT. Use it, Learn it, Love it.

Hahahha. ;) Well without John and Gobbels and the occasional Adam Barr, been feeling lonely. So will take light-handed approach, Wiki good for a random overview, but for real info and real depth, look elsewhere. It does cover some topics rather well, others well, let's not even go there. Oft times it becomes a collection of facts that is far less than the sum of the whole.
  • did you see, what he entered at point 3?
    think he likes your blog^^

Remind me never to hire any UNT grads. :)
