Russell Beattie reviews the new Cingular 2125 cell phone which is the one I carry around and have been taking pictures with while I’m here in Pittsburgh.

hee hee...weren't u going off to sleep :) better get some rest tomorrow for the Carnegie Mellon tour...we did a robotics project in our university inspired by their work...good stuff!
  • Hi! I was browsing and saw the infamous word -pittsburgh- which is where I am writing this. I recognize most of your 'burgh photos. Welcome and have a nice stay!!!
  • he also criticized Cingular 2125, see my answer to this criticism here:

BTW: Robert, he didn't review it - he just hold it in hands for 5 minutes in Cingular store. The true review of Cingular 2125 smartphone is here:

  • By the way: Robert look here:

Apparently this application (free) can record phone calls in Cingular 2125 smartphone (that you have)!

You could record phone calls in your smartphone!
  • i figured you'd be using the ppc-6700 from sprint or something else with a keyboard and mobile 2005 so that you could blog...this thing from cingular is torture type training...still waiting for that motorola Q...

Just got the 2125 yesterday, love the phone, but ActiveSync puked with "Support Code:85010014" anyone have any ideas? None of the web resources have been of any help. The phone is very sweet though...
  • The forthcoming T-mobile version keeps the Wi-Fi which the Cingular version removed.
  • Goebbels
Praised the phone. Called the OS slightly less crappy.
  • Wow, great phone indeed.

How about Russ' comment on the Xbox 360?

    http://www.russellbeattie.com/notebook/1008759....

Sounds (literally) like it would have issues in the Living Room/Media Extender world.

600,000 - 700,000 noisemakers sold for the holidays.

Always leaving me wanting for more...

So now we get edge... but not UTMS.. So still one step behind...

And still no 802.11... I really want to sync via wi-fi (not to mention VOIP)

And alas, why no touch screen... This to me is the single biggest flaw IMHO... Seems like a much more natural interface than the "Joystick"...

The MS Mobiles review says this device has a Colander function. Does this mean I can strain my pasta with it? That's way cool!!
