Full page ad for our book in Fortune

Heh, now whenever I get together with my friends who’ve made a lot of money I can say “well, you might have made a fortune but my book is IN Fortune.”

Buzz Bruggeman called me excited tonight and told me about the ad. Full page in this week’s Fortune Magazine (and I hear it’s in several other magazines as well). I begged Buzz to send me a photo so I could see the ad for myself. He just did.

So, start talking! Er, get Naked! :-)

Wow, isn’t it funny how you get a full page ad in Fortune yet in your book you talk about Firefox guys getting less downloads from the full page NY Times ad?

You shouldn’t have gotten the ad, you shoulda just blogged and followed your own advice…just kidding. Good job, I’ve got 10 pages left to the book ;)

    Robert,

Great ad…better book. I just finished it yesterday and loved it I marked it all up with Adobe comments (I had downloaded the ebook) and then lost them all…that really sucked.

Anyway, great work on the book!

Geesh, I want going to make a snarky comment on the Firefox issue, but Cybermagellan beat me to it. Kudos.

This parody writes itself…irony of it all…

And doncha know Fortune and all those other dead-tree publications are going the way of the Dinosaur? Blogs are it baby. Some people just can’t see new ideas. I mean I was all into Apple when people said Command Line was the all. And I used a mouse. I get all ruffled when people call me an edge-case, as today’s edge-case is tomorrow’s visionary. Don’t advertise in magazines, blogs are the future. Doncha get it? You morons.

My Fortune arrived yesterday and I noticed the ad. It really jumped out at me with all that yellow!

Now if Fortune can just do a decent article on blogs, we’d be really kicking cans of mustard gas around here.
