Just launched today: Flagr. Share your favorite places. A mashup that’s fun to play with.

What is the business value of such a service?
  • Yeah, that would be nice. If only the information were available today. I think Tele-Atlas and other companies are physically driving a fleet of trucks around, mapping streets in other countries. We can definitely expect to see that information in the future.
  • Well, like too many other things, probably great if you live in the U.S., but I couldn't get any further than putting a flag on the Swiss Alps and saying "peaks". That covers a lot of mountain. Interested if they can give me my part of the world, a little more precisely. I'd like to mark down non-Starbucks coffee options in Geneva.
  • Sort of similar to Plazes, but it doesn't identify who is at the loctions.
