What my coworkers have been doing

by on March 7, 2006

While I go traveling around the world collecting credit and accolades my coworkers stay back in the cold, dark, confines of their Redmond offices coding like mad. Don’t believe me? I’m staring across the hall at Charles Torre and his office is dark. Why is it that developers like the dark?

Anyway, Jeff Sandquist gives everyone an update on what’s coming next week from our team.

It’s http://on10.net/. Of course it has an RSS feed! ;-)

Seriously, I haven’t seen my coworkers have so much fun in a long time. There are a couple of other suprises too (Adam Kinney, the main dev/design guy, hints that the team is bigger than we let on). Also on the dev team is Duncan Mackenzie and Erik Porter.

Can three devs architect, design, and code a killer site in less than a month? You’ll see on Monday.

That is if we call don’t get fired before then.

  • Maybe it's because he's sleeping. ;)
  • Is that the chick from G4TV.com (the defunct show, not the website) in the Monday video? I think it is.
  • tech: yes.
  • It's because he's been coding for twelve hours straight, someone turned out the lights when they left, and he never even noticed.
  • Offices

Wow must be realy cushy at MS if you still have offices :-) Almost evry one in UK is open plan
    nowadays.
  • Maurice: yeah, I've seen some of the open plan offices when I visited Ireland. Google uses open plan too. I wonder which way is better? Of course in many of our offices we're getting doubled up (space is at a premium on main campus) so it's not as glamorous as it sounds.
  • Robert, what's going on with Tina Wood and Laura Foy? Is it a secret? I hung out with them at E3 2004. They're pretty cool, though I've only seen their show a couple times thanks to G4 not being offered here. It's cancelled now, so I'm interested in seeing what they are doing.
  • Wow... a website with no text (on10). I still have no idea what it is. I don't have time to spend trying to figure it out.
  • Aaron: it's a tease. Come back on Monday.
