What is Web 2.0? Here’s a list

This is an awesome list of the companies that are competing for your attention on the Web. What is Web 2.0? It’s the 2006 Web. Thanks to Bob Stumpel for creating the list of everything Web 2.0.

    I don’t know much about Web 2.0, but one thing that constantly strikes me when I see things referring to it like this list (excellent by the way), is that no one ever seems to be doing anything in the sports world.

    It’s either networking, ecommerce, news, finance, tagging, etc. I would think that sports would be a huge arena for 2.0. Is it just that everyone assumes big names like ESPN and Sportsline are already on top of it?

    To me, 2.0 and fantasy sports and stats seem like a match made in heaven.

    wasnt this list on the front page of digg a few days ago? it then pointed to a forum, which was later taken off. This list is a good job of categorizing the web20 sites out there.

    It is a very comprehensive list and it is almost a shock to see. It feels like Web 2.0 is growing exponentially.
