The geek blog I hate to love

Mike Gunderloy finds the coolest developer stuff, albeit pretty Microsoft-centric. He’s one of those developer blogs that I love to read. Well, sorta. His layout lately makes it tougher (he has big blocky advertisements) and his RSS feed puts all items into one item, which makes them difficult to email around to my friends and coworkers, but that’s OK. I’ve gotten over those deficiencies.

Do you have a good developer-centric blog that you can recommend? Something like Weblogs.asp.net, which has a ton of good info on it.

Yes, I’m rebuilding my reading list now that I’m free. By the way, I pushed my start date to next Tuesday so I could relax a bit more, catch up on chores relating to selling our house and my mom’s estate, etc.

Don’t know about other sites but thanks for putting this link out there. Lots of good stuff there and I really liked the layout personally.
    Thanks

Well, The Server Side is one of the major developer news sites/blogs for the Java side of the world: http://www.theserverside.com/

You can only read so many generic developer-centric blogs. You have to focus on blogs about the specific technologies you use. I guess that’s less of an issue in the more monolithic Microsoft environment.

I like dzone.com a lot. It’s like Digg, but specifically for developers. I’ve gotten a lot of useful info from there.

And on those days where I just need to laugh a bit… thedailywtf.com is hilarious. :)

DotNetKicks.com seems to have launched very recently. It’s also like Digg, but aimed at .NET developers. I digg it.
