My thought about a male replacement though would be that everyone would tag it as a "Daily Show" ripoff and having a female host always helped avoid that I think.

They shouldn't introduce us to the new Amanda on Monday because the fans will rip her to shreds. Instead they should get you (Scoble) to do Monday's show, as sort of an anti-Amanda. That will shock the system, and then the fans will be ready to accept the new Amanda on Tuesday.

The biggest question is, why isn't RocketBoom hosting this discussion - and taking suggestions and entries - rather than just sitting there with a lame text announcement and "a week on hiatus"?

Michael: I don't know. That would be an excellent thing for Andrew to do. Although one thing I've learned is that not many people can communicate well in stressful situations (and this one has got to be among the most stressful). I don't write well at times like this either. So, it might be best to take some time off and not engage with a community and make even bigger mistakes.
