Neowin comes through, as usual: Windows Vista RC1 Available to the Masses. Off to download. I miss the good old days when you had to download Windows 95 betas via a 28.8 kbps modem. Ahh, the youth today. So spoiled. :-)

    Scoble, I don’t know if you still have any leverage with the Windows folks, but as I was typing into a text box on a website, a bright red UAC dialog box stole focus as I clicked space. I’ve no idea what I clicked yes or no to, and this is a security dialog box! If you do have leverage, tell the UAC UI designer to never, ever have his box steal focus. Good grief.

    Anyone know what Dialup modems or modem drivers will work in vista? I have a creative modem blaster can’t get it to work. Dialup is only connection I can get in my area. Had to go to a freinds to download it, took him and Hour on cable lol, it would have taken me a week!

    It works dual boot I am using two harddrive only probem I’am having with driver is the modem drivers cant seem to get one to mine to work tryed differnt drivers! If sombody get a dialup modem to work please let me know. Thanks

    Got modem working using PCItree have to have exact chip set and get exact driver from maker Works great hope this helps sombody! I have a creative modem blaster

    I have a question to ask all of you, My friend at work says he has Vista 002 and he told me that it’s not the Beta version either, He said he has some serious contacts in the geek underworld, he also said that he can automatically downloads drivers for his hardware and updates to fix the bugs on Vista, this is what he said in his e-mail that he sent me and I quote ” This is no beta, i just updated it and il crack the registartion tomorow w the code my guy sent me.

    if you dont beleive me that my copy is the real deal, check out this screenshot called

    So you guys is Vista 002 is the Final version of Vista or it just a beta version of Vista. do you think I should wait and get a legit copy of Vista and wait until January 30, 2007 and get my Microsoft Vista Ultimate.

    The next version of Windows after Vista (and there’s only one) isn’t even called Vista. It’s code-named “Vienna.”
