Digg river rules

Digg River rules on my cell phone. Thank you Digg and thank you Dave Winer! Now I can get Digg while walking on the beach!

Hmmm. So, now there’s a good reason to go to the beach.

Put down the stupid phone. Engage in an analogue conversation with the family. Look at the sky. Hear the water. Forget anything man-made for awhile.

Earth 1.0 trumps web 2.0 any day.

I agree with radaronpaws… do you really need to keep up with Digg while you’re at the beach? Seems like there’s a lack of work/ life balance going on here…

I didn’t mean it as harsh as it sounded… I think Robert was just being a geek, not working. But it does bother me how many people in our society can’t enjoy nature even when they are out in it. I see a lot of people in the city around me who could care less about anything that’s not man made… that can’t be a healthy attitude. I don’t think that Robert is that kind of person, I just took the opportunity to whine about people who can’t enjoy the planet they live on a little. :)

Especially amongst the young urban types, there seems to be a complete lack of use for anything not urban and urban culture related.

It kinda blows to have that many people with that attitude. I don’t think it bodes well for society or the planet.

Digg on the beach ruins the beach. I prefer to ‘dig’ on the beach. Beaches are for sandcastles and bare feet, not for alwaays-connectedness.

Unless your office is actually (physically) on the beach. Now that might be interesting. But Digg doesn’t exactly say “office” to me. :)
