The MIT Technology Review’s Emerging Technologies conference is coming up in a couple of weeks. But, they have some nice videoblogs with geeks speakers that are good to check out. I’m watching Stewart Butterfield, founder of Flickr right now.

Just finished up with John Chapin and software radios. Where do guys like this come from? Imagine John among a group of his peers communicating/collaborating over is software radio. Heaven I imagine for both him and his group.

Thanks for sharing the wealth. I’m headed back over to catch a few more of the vblogs before calling it a day. Where are you tomorrow? I look forward to catching up.

Totally unrelated to this post, are the fires in Montana affecting your Mom’s property? I am hoping the best for you.

Yer came across this today – we (my employer) have a partnership with MIT Media Labs and I’m hoping someone will sign up – we have a few guys located in Boston. Yer I’d love to go along but I doubt they will pay for me to come across from the UK :(

The vlogs are great – more people should do them and list them on something like iTunes – I love to watch short to the point vlogs when travelling.

Technology Review’s ‘Emerging Technologies Conference’, is not so much a conference, as a flashy Press Event, with a pick-a-topic hot button issues, that certain companies are promo’ing, with the usual investor hypesters, and sprinkled in with some nice Web 2.0 salted-flavor and keynoters so the bloggers can feel giddy.

Online Apps wheee, Nano Nano, Genome for the Masses, Software-Defined Radio, IBM Global CEO “Study”…funny how all that “emerging tech” is exactly what certain companies are fronting…

Real “emerging tech” comes in many forms…I don’t suppose the Easty and Left Coastsy liberalish self-egoed richie techies, would field a session on Textron Systems’ Sensor Fuzed Weapon systems. ;)

Speaking of video, my colleague Justin just sent you an email to pick up our conversation a while back about cooking videos. Subject line is “Re: Cooking show on Podtech?”
