PodTech’s engineering team working on ScobleShow

by on September 25, 2006

I just shot this video of PodTech’s engineering team who are all working at 7 p.m. on getting the new PodTech home page up and my show up. Ken Leung, director of engineering, says it will be after 8 p.m. and before 4 a.m. when it gets up.

  • Would you like to distribute HD versions of your videos?

    Here are some great samples:

Eventually folks will want to watch your video on large LCD monitors in their livingrooms ... why not start to give them great content now?

  • Erik: that's definitely in my future, but not out of the gate.
  • Cool ... I recently joined Verisign and we are working on some interesting solutions for distributing very large video files with some peer-assisted delivery technology that will make these downloads faster and less costly. I'd be interested in hosting some of your HD quality content as a trial.
  • Erik,

I'd definitely like to talk with you about that.

"watch the videos on large LCD monitors in their living rooms"??? Based on Scoble's past quality, I think that is the LAST thing normal people would want to do.
  • LayZ: where's your YouTube videos? I wanna see your technique.
  • Chris
  • That's a staging server, enjoy the sneak peak. Those sites won't survive the evening.

the last time i watched your video (it was just some meat) i promised not to get videos from scoble blog. 5.5 mb and only 10 seconds. (and i had to wait for the download to finish to get how long was the movie).
maybe you don't even feel you are watching videos from sites far from you, with your broadband connections, but i'm on dialup man! 5.5mb and 10 seconds is not fair!
either you are no good video blogger or i'm no good internet user ;)
  • Robert,

any chance you could make the video size (as in mb) smaller at all please because this is killing my 3mb wifi connection.

The quality is cool but any chance you provide a smaller version for those us mere mortals who are far away from the exchange or don't have cable.

    Otherwise I like the show.
  • James: unfortunately I won't be able to do for the first two weeks. I'm still waiting for my compression gear (read new Macs).

Paimon: sorry, my show is going to be pretty painful on dialup for the first few weeks.
  • ok cool. thanks robert.
  • What equipment are you using to shoot and sometimes edit your material Scoble?
