On my way to Microsoft

I’m sitting on the plane heading back to Microsoft. In honor I’m wearing my Longhorn jacket and my Channel 9 t-shirt. If anyone wants to meetup, I have a slot at about 4 p.m. Be warned, might get filmed for my show. Got some slots tomorrow too before I interview Woz tomorrow night.

    Lunch? :)

  2. Toby Getsch Says:

Don’t forget to email back to Dave Persing so you can help him get in to see the Woz interview at the UW. We’re both trying to go, and he got to you first, but I don’t think he’s got your reply mail yet. So, maybe I’ll see you tomorrow night, if you can still get us in…

  3. PabloS Says:

Keep us updated about Woz’s interview.
Hope you have a nice flight!

  4. Ric Says:

Can you please ask them why they are not part of OpenAjax alliance? It really should be a simple matter for them to add an abstraction layer to ATLAS. They ‘invented’ Ajax with the xmlHttp object, and now every other company is part of OpenAjax (Google, Yahoo, IBM, Oracle, Adobe, ….) - why not Microsoft?

  5. Huw Says:

Do you think you’ll get the same kind of access that you got when you were part of Channel 9; will microsofties be more cautious about telling you stuff? Or will they still look on you as one of their own and give you a great scoop!

  6. Brooks Jordan Says:

    Robert,

I’d like to invite you to come interview us at Attensa (Portland, Oregon) about a little initiative we’re doing called Attensa Connect.

I think you’d be interested in the discussion about RSS that we’re trying to support.

    Off-topic:
Robert, where is the Podtech.net mascot?

  8. Robert Scoble Says:

Toby: you both are in. I’ll email tonight with details.

  9. Steve Clayton: Geek In Disguise : Scoble on Life After Microsoft Says:

[...] To be honest, this is the most interesting stuff I’ve heard from Robert since he left as it seems he’s been heads down doing his PodTech thing. Good luck to him! [...]

    Welcome back. :-)

Can’t wait to see your Woz interview, were you invited to see him speak at MS?

I have some time tomorrow to if you want to grab lunch.

  12. Aaron Brethorst Says:

Yo Robert, you missed out on a drink tonight :) Better luck next time, dude…

    Cheers,
    Aaron

  13. Jill Foster Says:

Good luck w/ Woz et al & look forward to meeting you at CONVERGESOUTH (…if I can penetrate your throngs of blogger-fans) :) Hopefully your wife & I will talk-shop in a quick interview for my doc project (we’ve chatted about it briefly on her blog). Can’t wait! Be well.

  14. Jesper Date Says:

Are we talking about Woz as in Steven Wozniak? If that’s the case, what’s the topic, and where will the interview be published? :)

  15. Living in Italy Says:

You’re a Longhorn too? Cool. Best, Deirdre’ Straughan

  16. Rory Says:

Did the plane you were on have WiFi, or were you on the ground? Looking forward to the Woz interview!

  17. Robert Scoble Says:

Rory: I have Verizon Wireless. We were sitting on the ground. You can use a computer as long as the door is open.

  18. Scott Kindorf Says:

Hey, Robert - I wish I had read this post earlier on; I was at the Vista Beta Tour with the handfull of Vista TBT (Technical Beta Testers) who were able to drive / fly-in for this event. We met with Jim Allchin for about an hour or so after breakfast and had an excellent 2-day event, meeting with most of the Vista & Longhorn Devs & PMs. This is just more proof to me that I need to be watching your blog entries closer - it would have been awesome for a few of us to meet-up with you.
