On the ScobleShow today: free phone calls with Jajah

Over on the ScobleShow today is Roman Scharf, CEO of Jajah which is a new service that lets you use your regular old phone to make free phone calls around the world (or low cost ones, at least). Pretty interesting business model. Oh, and during the demo we make a call to Guy Kawasaki, who is the first technology evangelist (he got developers to support the first Macintosh).

    Robert,
I’m just a little curious and sorry for the question as it may offend you.

Are you getting paid by any of these companies for doing these interviews? Do they pay for any incidental costs associated with you traveling to them for the interviews?

I ask because I’m still trying to figure out, not that it is any of my business, the revenue end of why PodTech hired you? Are they getting a bunch of traffic from you?

  5. Robert Scoble Says:

Herschel: no. They haven’t paid me a thing.

The only company that’s sponsored my show so far is Seagate.

Most of the interviews I do are local to the SF Bay Area.

The revenue end of why PodTech hired me? My bosses are very happy with what’s happened so far on my show thanks to Seagate.

Mino Wireless is a better alternative to Jajah, founded by a man who travels back and forth in Asia a lot and was trying to solve a problem for himself…Even the Garage guys liked it, but they already had a relationship with Jajah.
