Another hot thing from Web 2.0 Summit: OmniDrive

In the hallways people have been talking also about OmniDrive. Jeff Clavier said I had to try it, for instance. CEO Nik Cubrilovic is standing here and says his servers have been busy ever since they announced it this morning on their blog (you’ll need to visit there to get a download code).

  1. Hi Guys, I am the founder and CEO of Omnidrive. Omnidrive does a lot more than just store your files, it allows you to aggregate all your files from your web apps (eg. flickr, zoho etc.), instantly share any file, publish files in one-click (see our ‘Tip of the Day’ from today on our blog.

Omnidrive isn’t just another place to put some files, it sits in between all the different places you have files, both desktop and web, and brings them all together. We have a lot more coming, as well!

  3. @Jason,
Very much accept with u. There have been a couple of similar products in the same lines, not sure what makes it under web2.0 (or really innovative). One major diff (or a plus with this as) I see is that they are opening up the API to their product/service.

May be there is more to come ?

  5. Is it just me, or is this product not really Rocket Science? Seems quite straight-forward.. But, then again, so has a lot of the “web 2.0″ stuff we hear about… YouTube (what developer couldn’t have coded that one up?!), AJAX (My company used that technique since 2003, maybe even earlier), none of it is a real “breakthrough”…

    What am I missing here?

  7. Excellent name for a product. I almost confused it with the fine line of products made by The Omni Group, tho. Gonna check this out… thx for the tippage, Scoble!

  9. Boy, I wish my cable connection wasn’t so slow on upload.
    8328 kbps down, 340 up.

That really hinders omnidrive for me.
