It will be interesting to see how long the site lasts without him – and with that horrible 1996 design.

I thought ugly ruled when it came to blog design. They just folllowed the Scoble rules on blog design.

It’s that Ask.com ad on the left sidebar that is truly hideous. I’d read 100 paid-for posts just not to see that awful ad ever again.

Ouch! You aren’t kidding, that is one ugly design. But as you point out, that is the beauty of RSS. With some of my favorite sites, it would likely be weeks before I noticed a design change.

I hate the design of most of Gawker sites now. I was so pissed when they ruined Lifehacker. Now Valleywag. And the worst thing is they don’t listen to their user’s feedback. The only great redesign was Gizmodo.

The funny thing is Engadget and the Weblogs Inc. blogs all look fantastic after redesign. Hrmm I guess there’s always been a subconscious reason Engagdet comes before Gizmodo in my bookmarks.

Also, very sad that Nick’s gone. Double the bad news. Anyway, thank goodness for RSS indeed.

Yeah, I actually emailed him directly about the font on the site, its pretty bad, but the design….it gave me a nervous disorder..

I’m with you Robert, that is a bloody awful redesign. What the hell was wrong with the old one? RSS truly is a godsend.
