My first videos from CES

This is the *first* video that I am watching right when I saw it. The rest just go into my Queue to be watched later. And, the bandwidth was well spent:D

Michael: we’re still learning how to use this new shotgun microphone. There was no time to setup lights or other kinds of microphones. You get what you can with these things. I was lucky to get a camera guy in.

Any chance of a quick video of CES just to give us some idea of the scale of the event? I know it is large…..

It is much better to watch the videos on the Scoble Show http://www.podtech.net/scobleshow/ then you do not have all the messages and pauses about buffering.

Great video. Bill seems so much more relaxed, much more like he used to be. I think being able to step back some is suiting him better. I agree with the above that all of the Scoble show needs some better sound. There are some great little mixers that you can connect to multiple mics.

Robert, What audio device is that you’re using? Been happy with it? I’ve got a great Marantz but it’s just too big.

That’s the most relaxed and natural I think I’ve seen Bill – I’m still at the intro … and it’s great. He seems … cool … I’d like to chat with him.

The camera should have been on Bill’s face more, not the side of his head. Other than that, great interview. I agree with Bill about Robert needing to get his facts and numbers before he tries to pin Bill Gates with a guilt question. How are we supposed to figure out how to combat climate issues without super-hot computers anyways?

Gates is the coolest.

I thought your comment “let’s talk abotu CES since we are at CES” was a little…I dunno, monkeyfukerish. I was interested to hear Gates’ answers to the questions from the gentleman from Gizmodo in such a relaxed setting, but it is your show. Oh and another thing, don’t interrupt the richest man in the world when you interview him to talk about your comment blog spam.

Stercus: well, OK, but when your audience cares about gadgets and consumer electronics and you only have 45 minutes with a guy who funds a large chunk of that industry, don’t you think it’d be a better use of time to talk about what he is doing in consumer electronics? We can talk about his tickets that he got 20 years ago some other time.

And, I think it’s much more important to pay attention to comment spam. I don’t get much email spam anymore and my email has been in public view for several years now.
