Killer photo sharing: Vuvox

by on January 31, 2007

Wow, Vuvox is on stage. Totally freaking cool way to use your photos. This is another one that I just can’t find the words to explain. It’s something you have to see.

  • Vuvox homepage says:
In a few short weeks, your visual voice can be heard.

    Marketing speak says:
Easy to Use Online Service Redefines User Generated Content... VUVOX can enable you to create personal, collaborative & emotive expressions

When will we see this thing?
  • Chris: I gotta go out in the hall and get a demo and find out.
  • So how is this different from Scrapblog?
  • This looks similar to Tabblo. It's a pretty intro page, though. :)
  • If you think scrapbook, photoalbum or slideshow you think too small. This will be different. It can do slideshows, too but that's like asking a chef to fry an egg.
  • Come on, Scoble. Stop it with the posts that say, "Xyx is so freaking cool, but I this blog post is too small to describe it". You can do better than this.
  • Dan
    Well said Pierre!

Scoble, what _is_ so cool about Vuvox then?
  • but... what IS it?!

I want a demo! Or at least a screencap...
  • Anne Onimos
How much do you get paid to shill this stuff?
  • Anne: I have not been paid one cent by this company and neither has PodTech.
  • Pierre: If I told you "a tree can be placed on your screen and photos pop out of it" would that help? I seriously don't know how to explain this one. I'd rather just film it, and put the video up in a week or so.
  • I agree, stop teasing us and get us some more info! THIS is exciting...
  • You can watch the demo video here: http://www.demo.com/demonstrators/demo2007/9137...
  • Hopefully the screencast or whatever (haven't had a chance to watch them yet) will explain, because their website needs some serious help in de-abstracting whatever it is they are trying to say from marketing-speak/hype into actual words or content, or at least to sell me on how it's different than flickr or any other photosharing site :)

Definitely will dig deeper when I get to work though!
