Signs blog is boring: cute cat photos?

I used to say that among the top signs your tech blog is boring would be that you posted a cute cat photo. But, I’ve become a sucker for CuteOverload — a blog of totally cute things — and this little video of a cat being cute on piano made Maryam laugh this morning.

I try to protect you from such cute stuff on my link blog (which is how I found that video today), though, but once in a while I do post one of these Cute Overload things. Just to have some fun.

UPDATE: Gizmodo has some cute cat photos of cats playing video games. I guess cute cats are the theme today.

    I am not a cat person. If they post pictures of a "cute" cats, if there is such a thing, only means cat people don't have enough to do with their lives, which is about a third of America.

    I'm not even a cat lover, but Cute Overload deserves a spot in everyone aggregator, if only for a little daily lightheartedness. I Can Has Cheezburger is quickly approaching the same status, in my book. :-)

    Adding cutesie stuff once in a while is neither boring nor uncool. Forget any detractors and naysayers. Cutsie stuff adds some lightheartedness to a too serious world.

    I'm with you... seeing cute kittens and puppies is always fun and helps to lighten the mental load, if only for a moment.

  • Cute cat pictures are far more compelling than most tech blogs out there. Cute pictures are far from boring and people who think they are have deep-seated emotional problems. On this issue there can be no reasonable disagreement.

    #5, even if you're not a cat person, you can usually laugh at cats. Cats pretend they have a lot of dignity, but they're more prone to silly situations than one's drunk uncle at a wedding with a loose belt.

    I just wanted to commite somthing theat wuld be cute to look at.I am wanting something that for my friend,causes her boyfriend thinks that she is ceating on him and she is not! so I need something to make her happy and forget about what he boyfriends thinks about her.
