Reasons to unsubscribe
Me, I’m looking for reasons to subscribe to more blogs. But, at Northern Voice last week someone said that they were looking for reasons to unsubscribe from blogs.
Hey, that’s simple: unsubscribe from that Scoble dude. He’s lame.
Heheh. Anyway, if you’re still reading here Darren has 34 reasons why readers unsubscribe. Damn, reading that list I think I’ve done all 34. Hmmm.

Robert, how about listing the reasons you do subscribe?
I’ll go first.
* Authority on subject matter I’m interested in
* Unique, first-hand insight
* Rapidity of relaying news, i.e. first to the story (scoops)
* Common themes - standing for something
* Honestly, because I often agree with their view
* Quality of writing
* Quality of humor
It’s not 34, but the above drive much of my clicking.

Louis: it’s simple: someone who I already read talked about someone I don’t already read. I then check out that newbie and see if they have more than one post I’m interested in. If so, I subscribe.

I’m seeing some slugishness in me Google Reader today. This post onwards has not appeared in my Reader yet. Know if there’s any problems?

First thing you should do is unsubscribe to blogs about blogging.
When I was a boy my Grandfather told me a story of a man who put an ad in the newspaper -
Want to learn how to make money?
Send $1 to……
The reply he sent out was;
That’s How!
That’s all this pro-blogger does day after day.
You know how to blog Robert and you know how to make money, so why are you reading and linking to this lame infommercial?

Reading paul’s comment: That’s the second time I’ve witnessed you being insinuated in to a Hate-Darren-Rowse consortium as a silent partner, Mr Scoble.

Rory: I don’t hate Darren. In fact I like his stuff.
Paul: I linked to it cause I liked it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I absolutely believe that, Robert. I just wonder whether other people have been misrepresenting you. Or attempting to. Or something…not that it matters…

It would have been nice if they surveyed more than 103 people.
Unless they somehow came up with an accurate cross section of RSS users, this is completely irrelevant link bait from pro-blogger.
