My blog’s design…

by on April 25, 2007

Is obviously messed up. Wordpress’s great folks are playing with it. I’m off to go to Phoenix, so will be offline for a while.

UPDATE: back to normal. In the meantime, check out what happens when a famous book author, Roger von Oech, who wrote “Creative Whack Pack” (no, not the blogging echo chamber) came over and gave me a new toy to play with.

  • I must say, it was amusing to see Scobleizer described as 'just another blog'

    :D
  • Fixed. Sorry about that we had some themes reset with an upgrade this morning.
  • Your "design"?
Sorry Robert but your blog doesn't have any design. Your down-n-dirty template might have gotten hosed but I wouldn't call a personalized header bar a blog with "design"

    Couldn't resist :- )

    Robert,

Thanks again for your time yesterday. It was a trip!

Best wishes to you and your many readers.

Have you considered using a san serife font the sute as it is a bit hard to look at for any length of time.
  • I was using Roger's first book to whack creativity into the heads of people many years ago. It's great to see that he's still on the ball.

How things have changed. Years ago, I would have heard something like this and had to go to the library, request books, look through the magazine index, track down articles and publications, and maybe even register for a course.

Now a few clicks and I'm swamped in information.
  • PXLated: actually my "design" has three attributes:

    1) It's ugly.
    2) It's easy to read.
    3) It's fast to load.

That's good enough to me. :-)
  • 2 & 3 are not tied to 1 though.
  • The blog would be easier to read with a bit better design, this font isnt very easy on the eyes. Wouldnt have to be a complicated slow design, but something a bit nicer would be good ;).
  • I actually appreciate a lot how fast the design loads, I find myself reading more pages on the site vs RSS. The speed of the server doesn't matter if it's loading a ton of CSS and JS or relying on slow third party widgets.
