I made a mistake that I corrected above. Yossi was the investor behind ICQ. Not sure where I got DoubleClick from. I think I have DoubleClick on my brain.
www.thebootcd.com

I agree with Jamie L.
I've been using vide accalerator for a while now and it's made video watching an absolute pleasure, so thanks speedbit! I'm using Vista with the beta and have encountered no problems.
If any of you haven't seen their site lately, they now support videos from 5min, myspace and veoh, and a load more - enjoy!

Seems like there's a bit of cunfusion here... I've been using it since reading about it here in May, didnt comment then cause wanted ot test it... the new beta, which runs on Vista and now supports over 50 sites (including FaceBook, which is painfully slow to watch), and I can wholeheartedly say it does the job... I never have to pause videos anymore before I watch them, and that's all I wanted really.
oh and I had no problems with the ask toolbar - unchecked the offer and it didnt download! the offer screen is a bit confusing though, but I actually wrote their support and got an answer they're changing it...

it seems like it is really only helping you to use your existing bandwidth more aggressively. the pipes are still clogged and the files are still large. this works fine if the stream of the video is lower bitrate than your internet connection. but it still won't let you stream 15mbps HD content over a 6mbps connection....
