   Aren’t pictures best when they’re relevant?
   Same with text messages.

   I don’t want to look at pictures of somebody else’s kids on vacation. Call me harsh. The map scrolling and divs are ok.

   Is it just me, or does anyone else roll his eyes when reading Scoble declare ” Rocks!!”?

   Scoble, you seriously need to get a new tag line. I’m not even bothering to read whatever you’re talking about, because you say that almost everything “rocks”, and 9 times out of 10, it turns out that you overhyped the thing.

   You’re too easily impressed by things that have an immediate “wow” factor but don’t actually do much after the “wow” wears off after a couple of weeks.

   well, I think it does rock, I use flickr everyday, and this is just one more way for it to be both useful ( I do genealogical work ) as well as ’super’ fun :-)

   Well, I still think Picasa is better. I just uploaded 600M of photos to it for a friend the other day with one drag-and drop operation. No limits. No pictures being renamed after a month or some such nonsense.

   But at least Flickr has an API (apparently) that can be used with Google maps. So why didn’t he lash something up with Yahoo maps, or Microsoft maps (not going to bother trying to figure out what they are being called this week) hmmm?

   @8,

   I like Picasa too. It’s the best photo app on Linux hands down. Google was a godsend for porting that and Google Earth to Linux.

    I would be nice if ou could click on an image and be taken to the photo’s page on flickr so you could leave a comment.

    I can’t find a way back to the photographer.

    Wouldn’t that be a requirement of CC licensed photos?

    Your MS cobbled solution does not work in Konqueror, flickrvision.com does. It’s also much heavier to load, and bloated.

    Those atlas libraries are too much to bare.

    Like I said earlier 1500 USD on an MSDN pro subscription, 0 return. http://code.google.com has way more value and it’s free

    You are correct. Then why do you ‘advertise’ your ‘0′ return investment on your site?

    They seem to have heard my comment about allowing links back to flickr photos. Yay! Now they need to add a way to go back in history if you’re not fast enough on your mouse click.
