John: yeah, that’s pretty close to the truth. But with 100 interesting things a day to read, there’s a lot of value in being an aggregator/editor.

Somewhat. The feedback loop - nature of what you see on blogs makes that less interesting. Now, someone who traced the echos back to the source, and gave you a list of original sources would have some real value. But stuff like Techmeme? Not so useful.

Wanted to toss in this link to the transportation museum site:
http://www.museumoftransport.org/
for more details on it :) BTW, if you're using iPhoto, and want to do a nice gallery page that integrates well into iPhoto, there's a plugin for iPhoto which lets you export straight into Gallery 2 - http://gallery.menalto.com/

It's made it really nice and easy to do an online photo gallery system.

BTW, if you like steam engines, take a look at some photos I snapped of the Transportation Museum in St. Louis:
http://mcintosh.poetshome.com/gallery/v/localtrips/transportationmuseum022007/
They've got some of the most amazing old trains there (as well as some odd cars and other things) - if you're ever on your way through St. Louis, you should stop and take a look!

Hi Robert -

I enjoyed being on the panel with you yesterday at Market to the Max in Seattle. I picked up some cool ideas from you...going to get out there a bit more and explore some new online communication avenues you chatted about. Do you not sleep or have you just mastered how to read and post material to your link blog while asleep?

Take care.
