Jaiku smacks down Twitter on mobiles?

InfoMobile has a video of the new Jaiku client coming next week for Nokia mobile phones. That looks pretty rocking. Jaiku is a competitor of Twitter and this looks a lot nicer than Twitter’s mobile app.

What makes intomobile awesome is the fact that you can aggregate your RSS feeds easily and have it show up in your Jaiku.

Example: You dump your flickr rss feed, podtech rss feed, google reader link blog rss feed all into Jaiku and people will get that information.

Even better, if I befriend you on Jaiku but I don’t want to see your link blog updates I can choose to turn that off.

Very powerful stuff. Think of it as a 2 way yahoo pipes with social networking built in.

But if you use http://www.twitku.com/ you can use both twitter and Jaiku from the desktop. http://TwitKu.com/m also works from a mobile browser. If only we could all own a Nokia N95!

jaiku’s design beats twitter hands down. and yes, it is awesomez. the most important feature is that it shows updates from friends in a non invasive manner. it answers my question, “what have u been doing all day” or “what have u been doing lately”… and i don’t see it as a personal feed aggregator. can’t wait to get my hands on a n95! =D

It doesn’t have to be a Nokia N95 – many other Symbian 6.0 compatible phones exist. For me, I use a Nokia 5500 Sports – it has a decent screen and works ok as a Jaikia device :-D

@ Christian – get yourself an N80. With a decent data contract (as well as voice) you can use Google Maps download as well as decent speed internet roaming (still trying to get skype on it though!) for much less than new N95. That said, the camera is rubbish on everything except the N80′s screen!

Just to give credit where it’s due, “Intomobile’s” (not Info…) video was actually done by Jonathan Greene (as Intomobile rightly acknowledges).
