Valleywag offers me a job…

It’s interesting how Valleywag can make up all sorts of bulls##t about people and get away with it.

I’m not looking to leave PodTech and have committed to staying there until 2008. I have not interviewed at any company and certainly not Google, Facebook, or USVP. My sponsor, Seagate, has renewed its sponsorship so everyone is happy. And with a new kid on the way I don’t need the stress of starting a new job.

Oh well, suckered into linking to Valleywag with a post that doesn’t have a single word of truth in it (well, it is true that I didn’t graduate from college). Good linkbait! Well played Nick Denton!

  1. Alfred: and remember that Chris stayed at our house for more than a month as a personal guest of ours. Thanks for pointing out that I was a good friend and big supporter of Chris’s. Still am, I offered to give him a good reference (and still do).

  3. Firsthand, Chris Coulter was not capable of doing his job at Podtech. Robert very generously made an opening for him to grow into his given job. Robert, you were more than kind. Chris responded by leaving without notice when his job required accountability which he could not provide. Shame on you Chris for blaming Robert for your own lack of confidence and skill. You were never treated badly by Podtech, and Robert was super supportive of you … even as you left him hanging!

  5. LayZ: because Sandquist is the one who was standing right there in the BlogHaus and knows what happened. Podesta wasn’t. It sounds like Podesta heard a story that got spread mouth-to-mouth sort of like that old game we played in third grade where the first person in line got told something and then it ended up as something totally different by the time the last person heard it.
