The San Jose Mercury News has a picture of me reacting to getting my iPhone. Yes, I was, and still am, excited. My son has turned me into an Apple fanboy. Heheh.
Way to go, Patrick, for making your dad an Apple fanboy! :=)
Great photo. Loved reading the stories and seeing the video of your father/son iPhone outing. Y’all will have wonderful memories of Geekstock. (Well, wasn’t the iPhone wait kind of like the geek equivalent of Woodstock?)
Robert! great shot I’ve been watching Zooomr for the last 30 hours and then up on Sat morning to see the pic of you (too bad Patrick wasn’t next to you)
The story about Patrick is an interesting one. He got out of the store before I did. I wanted him to stay in the store because I knew that Steve Jobs was on his way over and I wanted Patrick to be able to meet Steve Jobs. But Patrick just wanted to get out of the store and go home and play with his iPhone. So he left before I could buy my iPods.
If he had waited I probably wouldn’t have reacted this way, because the excitement would have settled down.
Hey Robert, I have to get this off my chest (you said you want us to comment, right?). But this image is just too much for me and it makes me think of what is wrong with this world. I love my tech like the next guy but I get a very awkward feeling over this. I’m not religious but I can’t get golden cows (or was it calves?) and false gods out of my mind. Sorry. I’m glad you’re happy with it though ;-) No offence intended.

Great Picture! Must have felt great, not to mention all the random Apple staff clapping as you walk in.

No wonder you quit Macrosoft, otherwise you would be fired for this picture:)

Yeah, have to admit that was a great photo. Saw it this morning when I was getting my coffee. That’s the face of a true geek in love with his new toy.

Your son made the Illawarra Mercury in its photos from around the world section this saturday.
In case you are wondering where the illawarra is, its here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Wollongong,+Australia&ie=UTF8&ll=-34.415973,150.908203&spn=19.997369,29.443359&z=5&iwloc=addr&om=1

That’s true. I don’t think her blog is as interesting either.
