Listening to Adam Curry…

It’s been a long time since I’ve last listened to Adam Curry, founder of PodShow. I think it’s cause I got rid of my Sirius satellite radio. Anyway, his show is really interesting and I think he’s getting back the voice that I missed from the early days. PodTech could learn a lot from listening here and noticing how he works in his community into his content. That always is what interested me about Podcasting and all this new stuff. The medium is two-way. At PodTech we’ve been working too hard to optimize our one-way video.

You’ll start seeing PodTech turn to be a better listening company. Just today Jeremiah Owyang opened up a Facebook group for PodTech. You know how to find that, right? Add me as a friend on Facebook and you’ll see it on my profile.

Thanks Adam for the inspiration.

  1. Curry was always fun to listen to back in the 80′s over here (Holland) when he had a show on the national radio. Lost track of him though later on.

  5. I’ve been following the PodTech photo debate. The guy is grinding an axe against them. 3 thousand is insane for that photo. Other photo guys pegged the amount at a $100-$200 he is demanding $3,000. PodTech already admitted that they made a mistake and offered him $1,000 and he is demanding more. That’s called blackmail.

  7. Comic: that’s not up to me, and it’s not up to you to decide for us. I’ll also take Curry’s other advice, which is to stop blogging about the issue.

I seem to remember that Sirius dropped Curry. I didn’t pay attention to it cause I had already gotten rid of my Sirius radio at that point.

  9. Robert, give that guy that 3000 bucks as Curry sausage suggests – even if it would come from your own pocket. Podtech needs no more debacles…

BTW: Curry sausage was dumped from Sirius due to over-promoting of his own podshow employees instead of giving objective view of whole podcasting. Strange you didn’t know it.

  11. Ze Frank is a great example of conversational video that involved the community and was very successful. Video can be a great commmunications vehicle versus the traditional media “push” model.
