On TechCrunch 40
Allen Stern and Dave Winer noticed that my name is no longer on the list of judges for the TechCrunch 40 conference.
Allen guessed that was because of the impending birth of our son. Totally true. There’s no way I can make next week’s conference. I wish I could go. I’m missing several important conferences in the next month including this week’s Conversational Marketing event, Demo, and probably the Web 2.0 Summit.
Allen also noticed that Jason Calacanis was bragging that there’s big news coming from Arrington on Tuesday. I have a call into Arrington about that.

If news falls in Silicon Valley and Robert Scoble isn’t there to vlog it, does it make a sound?. Take the time off. We’ll miss you, but we’ll muddle along somehow.

Dave Winer was obviously trolling the TechCrunch 40 panel of experts page to see if he’d been removed, or whether he’d been put back. Can’t let it go. Listen to the latest CalacanisCast (32), where Jason talks about someone that one could believe to be Dave Winer. (go to 1 hour 3 minutes in to the podcast). Is he talking about Dave? Or someone else? You decide. :)

“Jason Calacanis was bragging”
And this is new, how?

It makes for a killer away message: “Having A Son”. This is a sad reminder that every so often life interrupts our Twittering :-(

I hope the announcement is that everyone in the demopit gets a million dollars and a free bar of chocolate.

“Allen also noticed that Jason Calacanis was bragging that there’s big news coming from Arrington on Tuesday.”
Probably announcing that Barry Gibb will be joining MC Hammer in the experts panel.

Great, now all we need is Maryam to give birth to Milan on stage between AOL and Yahoo to REALLY get that attention up.
Robert, tell Maryam she’ll get exactly 1.48 minutes to present — this time, of course, to include expert panel discussion and audience feedback.

Did anyone see this? A really funny picture poll about Guy Kawasaki, on pollsb (click my name for the link).

Robert, I just saw this. Congrats on your upcoming expectation. :)
BTW if TC40 needs a substitute for you, let me know, or perhaps suggest it to Mike, I’m pretty sure I’m available to do it.
