Kyte.tv ships new player, new API, new iPhone playback
I just interviewed Daniel Graf, CEO of Kyte.tv. Kyte just shipped a bunch of new stuff today, including a new player (you’re looking at it now), new API, new iPhone playback and chat, and a new KyteFeed where you can subscribe to other channels. Permalinks to specific shows instead of just the channel. And much more. In this 20-minute conversation Daniel and I explore some of the changes and what they mean. Kyte also now works on any mobile phone.
Sorry for the scratchy audio. I was just using the microphone built into my MacBookPro and it didn’t come out that well.

It still isn’t getting me to click on the movies.
Keep blogging though…

Just tried iPhone (and iPod touch) playback. That’s more like it! Yeah, they’re “cheating” by using a Quicktime format, but on a device that small I’d rather have it break to a full media player anyways than try to deliver Flash video in an even smaller space.

Are you ever going to do another whiteboard video? Screw Valleywag!(I’m glad you called them out during the Fbook panel). I think they’re great(the videos). And informative. And fun. Do another one. Suggested topic: How to get your blogstats to look like my blog stats.

Kyte really slows down this site. Or maybe it’s just my crappy computer.

I like the new sleek interface of Kyte TV. The shows are easier to watch now as well since the production widgets are on a separate window as opposed to somewhere on the TV screen

I really like the news feed because it shows me all the new shows that my friends have made and the news shows from the channels I have subscribed to.
