Media Master’s CEO and CTO showed me their system and while I was filming I was thinking “someday everyone will have a system like this to manage their home entertainment media.”

The company’s motto explains exactly what they do: all your music, anywhere on earth.

This video is a long one — 53 minutes — but you’ll really learn a lot about the home entertainment and music industries and also see a demo of Media Master’s system. We talk about the music industry, too. The demo is at about minute 14 in this video.

Really awesome stuff.

  1. If there is one person spinning here, it is not General Petraeus. It’s Milne. In another article last week, he brandished “evidence… that the US- sponsored Sunni militias that have been at the heart of the surge strategy- the so- called ‘awakening councils’- are already showing signs of falling apart.” His claimed large numbers that were quitting the councils amounted to 1,300 in Abu Ghraib and Tikrit. He did not mention that the total strength of the councils is over 90,000. It may be no bad thing if the…

  3. Videos attract viewers in an incredible fashion. In my opinion, American’ s have the attention span of five- year- old. They want information to be accessible, enjoyable and understandable from the start. This may be why the social media release is the new press release or why Steve Jobs colorful iWork presentation style is so popular. The human eye is attracted to colorful imagery followed by a quality presenter.

  5. Hmmm Patrick.. I play loads of songs on MediaMaster every day… on their own player and also on their Facebook app player. My kid listens to his songs (too much Beach Boys!!!) while doing homework on the MediaMaster Yahoo widget. They all work. Well. Check out this PCWorld review too http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/138634-2/review_the_10_best_nongoogle_web_apps.html

  7. Sorry, that should read “won’t play back any songs”. I’ve tried to like it, honest, but it just doesn’t work. Have you tried it Robert – what was your opinion? I’d love for it to work, really, but it just doesn’t.

  9. Checked this out a few weeks ago. The mobile support is cool, but I prefer Anywhere.FM because of the playback experience and the social experience. If you don’t care about the mobile experience, it might be worth checking out.

  11. Trying it out. Early thoughts? Upload speed waaaayyyy too slow. Great idea in principle though, and better than Orb which requires you to leave your pc running.
