I’m a “TWiT:” was on Leo’s show

by on November 5, 2007

My favorite tech guy, Leo Laporte, had me on “This Week in Tech” yesterday, along with Ryan Block of Engadget, Veronica Belmont of Mahalo Daily (she just uploaded her first show, a test drive of the Tesla roadster, and it’s most excellent!), and Roger Chang of DL.TV. Lots of fun and we spent lots of time talking about Open Social, among other things.

  • Funny you should refer to Twitter. I just posted the first "Controversy Meme" ever and referenced YOU. It was only due to Twitter and a few other social media connections that I ended up tripping over your Starfish. Stop by, Robert, you seem like a nice guy.

  • On the show you guys were talking about a website that you use for threaded conversations... what was that? I know, I could listen to the show again, but I'd prefer to randomly access your brain. Thanks - Harold

Caught the show this afternoon while raking leaves - made the task far more enjoyable. Definitely one of the best TWITs in recent memory - I think I agree with whichever guest was getting it right on Open Social - ultimately the web needs to be our social network, I want to be able to add my carpenter (who will never be on facebook) as a friend (or aquaintance) - or artist I meet at a gallery opening (again will never be on facebook) as someone I can follow (twitter style). I digress - but great stuff, hope you'll be on TWIT again soon.
  • That was a great episode of TWIT. You should try to get on more often. Cheers.
