Funny “we’re in a bubble” video!

by on December 4, 2007

Kara, Kara, Kara, please put a warning on your posts when you have something this good. I have Diet Coke coming out of my nose this was so funny.

Yes, I get thrown under the bus here but I deserved it. Made me laugh even harder. Thanks Kara and Richter Scales.

Elsewhere on the Web, but along the funny bone too: Fake Steve Jobs is hitting on me. Now I’m SCARED! :-)

"Here comes another bubble" was worthy. Although, instead of making me laugh it kind of made me die inside.
  • Hilarious! Went through the full lifecycle of the last bubble with WebMD...Brings back good & bad memories, but I'm ready to do it again!
  • Hey Robert, as they say, "It's better to be talked about than not to be talked about", so enjoy the under side of the bus :-)
  • So funny! Who can help but jump back inside the bubble!! Maybe this time there will be more women in the bubble? :-) My first company survived the last bubble so I wonder if that increases my odds of surviving this one?

The Richter Scales have used, without permission, my photo of Owen Thomas, that was taken for Wired News. While they felt it necessary to credit Billy Joel, they apparently didn't feel all the photographers whose work appear in the video were worthy of a mention. I hold the copyright to the image which is All Rights Reserved and I charge licensing fees for usage.

  • Lane: good point. My video is used in there too and I saw at least one photograph taken by the San Jose Mercury News.

Good luck getting any fees out of this.
  • Lane, Robert, it's called fair use. I know we're not used to it anymore, what with all the big boys crushing it with lawyers and drm and such. But parody and criticism, which this is both of in spades are solid fair use defenses.

They credit the song because without it to start from there would be no final product. All the images are probably google image searched and are quickly and easily replaceable if the rights holder feels the need.

Soon kids making collages cut out of magazine will be required to pay a fee and give over half of their art project to properly acknowledging every rights holder to their cut outs. Get a grip.
  • Someone's objected on rights grounds, as YouTube have taken the video offline.
  • lol this is the funnest video i had evey seen!!!!
  • Wow. That got me so excited. I can’t study for my exams anymore now. All I want to do is hack.. :)
