I’m going to “Bil,” not TED

I can’t afford to go to TED. Fast Company is treating me well, but not THAT well (tickets to TED are $6,000). Even if I had the $6K I still wouldn’t be able to go since tickets to TED have been sold out for more than a year.

But I WILL be in Monterey. Across the street at the “Bil” conference. Ethan Zuckerman has the details.

Will you be there?

I have both TED and Bil on my Upcoming list of tech events.

Another alternative is GEL (Good Experience Live) in New York. It’s an amazing conference, very TED-Like. Keeps my batteries charged to go every year.

Well, what with every Tom, Dick, and Harry, Bil and TED should be a good time for all concerned.

You could not have posted that like 2 weeks earlier, before I booked my flights for Mix? :) It would have been easy to pop in to Monterey as well, now I doubt I can change flights.

International travellers need advance notice, guys! ;)

  9. All I can think of is Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure.

  13. I am going to TED, but will definitely pop in to Bil (it’s a very cool idea). Scoble, let’s make sure to connect in our protein forms out there :) I’ll be coming all the way from Montreal.

Bring some stuff to discuss. I’m currently planning to offer to talk about a new computer user interface paradigm and/or a critique and solution to our disastrous US health care non-system. See the Karpinski page in the BILconference wiki.
