Yesterday at Adobe’s Engage event I got a look at the new eBay desktop. If you’re a buyer on eBay you should check it out. Here’s the cell-phone video of the session I filmed. It just shipped this week and is definitely nicer than the Web site.

eBay desktop will be nice once they get rid of some of the more dangerous bugs. At the moment it’s eye candy.

SO excited at this Robert – I remember when Adobe first demo’d AIR (or whatever it got called at launch!) and used Ebay as an desktop tool – exciting times.

I tried it last night (with a few things I’ve been following on ebay) and I’m just not a fan. I tend to open lots of new windows and tabs, I tend to drag links to my desktop and drag them back into the browser later. You can’t do any of that with the desktop app. :/
