Gillmor Gang, FriendFeed edition
Steve Gillmor had the founders of FriendFeed on the Gillmor Gang yesterday. Lots of interesting info about what they are thinking about.
Also yesterday Jeremiah Owyang also visited FriendFeed’s offices and came away with an interesting post about MicroMemes.
We’re talking about the Gillmor Gang and whether or not you think Steve Gillmor is a rude host here on FriendFeed. Listen in at minute 50 where Marc Canter gets after him for trying to tell FriendFeed what to do.

Thanks Robert. although it’’s “Micro” memes. Could you update the post?
Mini-meme’s sounds like an Austin Powers movie.
The key thing about Mini-memes is that everyone has one, and each is unique.
Very different than Techmeme, Digg, or the cover of NYT, those are Macro-memes.

Heheh, I liked “mini” better than “micro” because “mini” is one less character. Just shows the impact that Twitter has had on me with its 140 character limit.

I changed it to micro anyway, cause it’s your term.

Bret liked it, and I encouraged him to use it, so hopefully, it will be ‘our’ term.

Old Gillmor himself would probably be the first to say that he was using the term MicroMeme “three years ago”. Office is Dead and all that.
