The future of the blog with Matt Mullenweg

Matt Mullenweg is the guy who runs Automattic, which makes WordPress and hosts this blog. Since they are about to come out with version 2.7, I wanted to have a conversation with Matt and pick his brain about the future of the blog. It’s long, but this is one of my favorite interviews, hope you enjoy it too.

Part I. 21 minutes.
Part II. 17 minutes.

  1. Sampad Swain says:

Was looking forward to hear something on “Future of Blogs” since there have been lot of water-cooler talks over blogosphere that blogging is dead. So I think Matt launching WP 2.7 is the right kinda guy to talk about it explicitly.

    Thanks Robert for the video.

With all due respect – consider adding a transcript option….

Understandably, YOU may love videos – but not everyone has the same passion not do they have the time to spend to watch them.

40 minutes is a lot for many busy people – you simply need an option to get the vital info without all visual the bells and whistles.

  10. Morgan says:

I have to agree with ADPRNY. I really would love to see this video (or listen to it, or read it), but I haven’t been able to get it to load. A transcript would be a ridiculous amount of work, but a boiled-down couple paragraphs touching the main ideas would be very welcome. Thanks for doing the interview. Hopefully I can get the video to work.

  12. I browse with a Nokia E90 so I need a 3GP video option.

    Mechanical Turks do transcripts well.
