I read about foursquare on TechCrunch. It seems pretty cool, but I'm still one of those people who likes that the tech is out there but doesn't want to use it all the time. Part of me thinks: if my friends want to know where I am, they can call me. If I don't want them to know where I am, I can not pick up. Foursquare obviously isn't that invasive- but it is definitely a sign of things to come.

That’s an iPhone app that lets you upload groups of photos when you find available bandwidth. He said it was very valuable to him at SXSW when the iPhone often had very little or no available bandwidth (inside the capital building while we were visiting the governor we had the same problem).

“Great catching up with you briefly at the “Run for the Hills” session. JFYI one of the companies that I work with as part of Dan’l Lewin’s team, DubMeNow, has built a pretty sweet mobile contact exchange with native versions for iPhone, WinMo, RIM, and also SMS. What’s coolest to me about them is the ability to post a group code at an event and have all attendees instantly swap contact info–would have been cool for a lot of the core conversations at SXSWi. Andrew Hyde from TechStars mentioned wishing he had something like this as a group list after his “happiness” core con.” Best wishes for Building 43!
