What ever happened to LikeMinds technology? I brought them into a Levi's marketing project I was doing back in the 90's as they were getting started and even then the ability to match up others with similar interests (in things I had not rated at all) was pretty damned good.

I assume there are plenty of other similar technologies out there since there is some form of that taking place in all recommendation engines, why would they not integrate this approach into the filters for building these malleable social graphs? Or are they and the algorithm's they are using just not that good?
